The finance minister delivered a bold budget speech on Tuesday, 25 February 2020. Instead, he chose to ease the pressure on companies and individuals and tried to absorb much of that pressure by the government.
It is clear that the minister realises that it is not possible to put further pressure on the consumer or businesses, but that they should rather make the fiscal environment more business-friendly. So, we are also anxiously awaiting the indication that the corporate tax rate may decline over the short term.
This is the first positive development (in this regard) for a long time.
