Business relief requirements and measurements during COVID-19 lockdown:

After the Government announced a lockdown of 21 days on 23 March 2020, many different institutions have promised relief to businesses who will be hit hard during this period.

We do not have all the details around these relief measures yet, but there is currently enough information available to get an idea of which of these measures your business will qualify for.

Although we have significant queries around certain of the relief measures and have requested clarification on most of these, we have attempted to collate the available information in the document attached. We trust that this will enable you to identify the opportunities to access relief.

The relief discussed in this document is a step in the right direction and we are hopeful that more relief will be made available in the coming days. Especially businesses with a turnover of more than R50 million seems to be getting almost no relief and we hope that this will be rectified.

If you need any further assistance or have any enquiries with regards to relief requirements and/or measures, please contact us for assistance.

Once again, we wish you, your family and workforce good health during this lockdown period.

Kind regards,

Jonathan Baron
